This lovely wiod, hand painted powder compact case was obviously a souvenir from someone overseas during WWII, possibly even a soldier! The cover is hand painted with the phrase “even though we are far apart you are always in my heart”. With a charming illustration of a soldier and his sweetheart. This opens to reveal the unused mesh powder-protector section, as well as the soft felted cotton powder pad (also unused). This case amazingly comes in its original box and has never been used in its 80 years of existence!
