Paraffin waxes are transparent or white, hard, with a relatively low melting point (45-65 ºC), shiny, brittle, forming large crystals. They are composed of normal straight hydrocarbons and minimal amounts of branched hydrocarbons.
Paraffin wax is suitable for casting and making:
- Free standing candles (made in molds and shapes)
This wax is in the form of tiny granules!
Melting point: 56-60 ֯C
The recommended pouring temperature is 85 – 90 ֯C for preheated molds.
The cooling of the poured candle should not be sharp and fast.
Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct heat or sunlight.
