  • AMERICA - Great Crises in Our History Told by Its Makers" A Library of ORIGINAL Sources, Issued by t he "Americanization Department" through the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States - Chicago Illinois - First (and only) Limited Edition. This set of twelve volumes published in 1925 with various important topics of wars fought by the United States. These books are gorgeously manufactured by the U.S. Government itself and have many hundreds of pages of texts and photos, each volume telling a different complete story. It is rare to find this leather set with the embossed designs and lettering; all twelve volumes in beautiful condition. The books have been designed in blue leather with the cover showing a gold gilt eagle and a very familiar gold insignia Star stating "VETERANS of FOREIGN WARS of the UNITED STATES". The spine has also a gold gilt insignia stating "America" along with the familiar VFW symbol toward the bottom, also in gold. The middle of the spine has the volume number along with the years associated with it on each book. These books are amazingly well kept with beautiful designs. Each book measures 9in X 7in and varies in pages, but all are substantial in size.
