OUR CURRENT INVENTORY OF BARROWS ENTRY LOCKS INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING MODELS:  162-L, 165, 342, 440 551, 630, 670 AND 2331 1/2. 

BARROWS #440 ENTRY LOCK w/CYLINDER & KEYS - 7" FACE,  REMANUFACTURED (41213)

Vintage:  BARROWS circa 1920 - 1940 entry mortise lock lock.   Comes with a new brass Security Guard cylinder with two new keys, works perfectly.  Barrows model number, visible on the inside of the lock in the casting, is #440.

Heavy bright brass faceplate with plate, with lock body clearly maker marked 'BARROWS', one of America's many manufacturers of builder's hardware during the second half of the 20th Century.  Has post hole for a thumb lock for the inside of the door, lock is reversible. 

Dimensions as follows:

Lock Face:  Brass face plate measures  7" long, 1 3/16" wide,  1/8" thick. 

Drop:  The drop from the center of the cylinder hole to the center of the knob post hole is 3 1/4".

Box: The box is 3 3/4" deep from the front edge of the brass face to the back of the box.  The box and the box is 5" top to bottom.  

Screws:  Screws are on 6 1/4" centers. 

Backset: (the distance from the front edge of the brass faceplate to the center of the knob post holes 2 3/4". 

Knob Post: Lock requires a 3/8" knob post, with a split swivel joint in the middle to accommodate the function of the push buttons.  

Strikeplate:  If you are replacing a lock of the same model you may not need a strikeplate.  If you do please let us know when you place the order as we will try to find one for you or fabricate one to fit the lock you choose. We can then amend the write up & price and include in the same box when shipping.    

Fully restored, very clean inside and out, no rust, functions very perfectly, heavy duty and with keys!
