Vintage 1980s Leslie Fay Polka Dot Shirtwaist Dress. Short sleeves, very large shoulder pads, elastic waist band (with some elasticity left - see measurements). The long skirt falls in gentle pleats and has a decorative three button detail (photo 7 - they do not actually button). Notch collar. There are no inner buttons that secure the wrap on the top (in photo 6 the dress is pinned to the mannequin to show proper fit) . Belt loops. In excellent vintage condition, with no flaws that I could find. Marked size 8; the below approximate flat lay measurements indicate that it would best fit an XL. Please compare the measurements to a dress that fits you well to ensure proper fit.

Waist: just over 17” unstretched; there is a bit of elasticity left, and it can stretch to approx. 18.25”
