This interesting printed postcard (halftone dots) depicts an Asian American girl drying a plate, while two boys play outside the window.

Caption at the bottom: “I wish I was a boy!”

Clearly, she would rather be outside playing than tending to the dishes inside. Note the items on the shelf above the drying rack. The clock says 9:05.

At lower left: “COPYRIGHT 1907 BY M. T. SHEAHAN, BOSTON.”

On the back: “SHEAHAN’S HUMOROUS NOVELTIES POST CARD” and “Copyright 1907, by M. T. Sheahan, Boston.”

Handwritten on the back: “Hazel from Joe.”

SIZE. Approximately 3 7/16 x 5 3/8 inches.

CONDITION. Wear around edges and at corners. Horizontal crease through the center, from left to right. Front has spots, including a few from foxing, and some scuffing. Back has spots and soiling.

APPEARANCE. Rich tones. Sharp details.
