The Deadly Sunshade by Phoebe Attwood Taylor 1st UK edition
UK post & packing cost: buy two books - same
postal charge as for one.
Published by Collins Crime Club 1941
The book is reasonably
sound with the board edges & spine hinges showing a degree of rubbing,
particularly noticeable at the corners of the boards. No immediately obvious
knocks or bumps are to be seen. The boards & spine do display a wide
range of marks – the upper board also carries a crease – not as readily visible
as indicated by the scan. The spine ends are quite worn &
creased whilst the spine itself is somewhat faded. The lettering to the spine
however remains very clear. Please see the attached scans.
Internally, the endpapers are
clean & whilst the text block is generally clean, quite a few small marks
crop up – these are usually, but not always, confined to the margins
surrounding the text, none are obtrusive. (The largest noted mark has been
partially disguised.) The page edges
are toned but somewhat spotting. There is no inscription. The book is in a removable
plastic cover.
One of the earlier Asey Mayo
crime novels from this popular author. An obviously well used copy of a fairly
scarce title.
Whilst considerable attention is
devoted to providing an accurate description, buyers should bear in mind the
book’s age & the commensurate degree of wear & tear sustained.
Consequently, some very minor faults, not otherwise detailed, are to be expected.
Books are posted at the buyer's risk by 2nd class post &
