There is a lot to tell about this doll because I did some research too.  the closest I could come was found on p 591 in "Twentieth Century Dolls" by Johanna Gast Anderton.  It pictures a 1947 doll made of synthetic rubber and marked  with just initials.  I am sure this is the same doll although it has the full Arranabee name on the back of the head and it is 16 inches tall. the only reason this rubber doll has survived is because it is synthetic.  I doubt that many were made because of WWII and the restrictions on anything rubber-like. bicycle tires and dolls were high on the list of things you could not get. After I was married my mom sent me the remains of my beloved doll. Only the hard plastic head was left. The real rubber body had just melted. This little one has a lovely warm tan complexion with brown sleep eyes. The mouth is open with what looks like one tiny tooth. It's cloth body is some kind of treated material that washes well as you can see by the pink spot where I applied some cleanser and used a lot of "elbow grease".  there is a mend on one shoulder and the squeeker does not work but otherwise it is in remarkably good condition.  Please look at the photos and ask questions before bidding as there is no return on her.  Payment is due two days after the end of the auction.  Upon receipt, I try to ship within two days.
