This Roland MA-8 Stereo Monitor Single Speaker  was tested by throwing sound at it from a Playstation 2. All channels and jacks were tested. It can get loud.

It performed well during our testing. 
The only thing we noticed during play is that once you turn the volume knob past about 85-90% the volume seems to drop. We believe it is simply drawing too much power. It should be noted that you should not need to go this high if this unit is being used on a desktop configuration-it gets loud before this point we are mentioning. This is the only reason why it's being listed for parts.
