This auction is for a fully restored and modified Fisher Price PXL 2000 camcorder.
I honestly don't know how many more fully restored Pxl cameras I will be offering, it's become increasingly more difficult to source fully repairable cameras and stock prices have gone up.
I've repaired, restored and modified hundreds of PXL's over the last 23 years.
My modified PXL 2000 cameras are employed by film studios worldwide.
My cameras are as easy to operate as a non-modified Pxl.
Why do I restore them? Because at this point they all need restoration in order to fully work.
I take great pride in my work and warranty each camera for as long as you own it.
With this modified camera you have your choice of recording onto cassette tapes as normal or sending the signal into an external recording device for pro playback via the RCA output jacks I've added.
This camera features an internal signal amp that allows you to record the PXL image with any DIGITAL CAMCORDER OR DEVICE that accepts analog input.
I have professionally restored and cleaned this cam back to like new condition, including new belts, cleaning of the blue lens along with a full cleaning and adjustment of the tape path.
I've also performed other maintenance to ensure that it works better than it did when new.
I've added several new features which render these effects:
1) Light level knob that allow the user to either lighten or darken the image, simply turn the knob left or right to dial it in to your taste. this is a fantastic control that helps to get the shot you want even in less than perfect lighting.
2) Body contacts that when touched freeze the image on the frame, the sound keeps rolling and interesting blurs can be caught, provides many very useful effects in real time
3) RCA audio and video output jacks to allow you to record to an external device
4) Large pixel block effect, that increases the size of the pixels for a very cool look.
