"INSPIRED"

by Eugene Iverd

Eugene Iverd, an American Illustrator from the 1930s who is known for his many magazine covers and ads.

Art prints in general by Iverd are scarce, but this particular one titled " Inspired"   I have one come across once, and I purchased it.  Originally framed and matted when purchased, but both mat and framed were damaged. I removed print poster which had been mounted on board and have kept stored for several years.

There is a dark line across bottom going about a half inch up which was covered by damaged mat, otherwise in beautiful clean condition.

This Large 14 3/4" by 21 1/2" plus a 1/2" border has great color and is beautifully lithographed. The image "INSPIRED" Pictures a young blonde boy in tattered overalls and bare feet in what looks like an old garage painting a picture. He holds a sheet of wood he is painting on in one hand, a print brush in his mouth and in hand.
