Description

Taylor Guitar was founded in 1974 by Bob Taylor and Kurt Listag,

The company combines technology and craftsmanship in every detail, from the careful selection of woods to the processing and finishing, to create an innovative yet extremely traditional and superior sound that has garnered a great deal of attention for its use by a wide variety of artists, both at home and abroad.

This instrument was made in 2018.

This 414ce features a traditional wood combination of solid Indian rosewood back and sides and a Sitka spruce top.

The main feature of this instrument is that it does not have the V-Class bracing that is synonymous with Taylor, but instead has X-bracing.

V-Class bracing” will be adopted at the model change in the middle of 2018, but this particular model is the one just before the model change.

The sound is different from the clear and powerful sound of the Taylor with V-Class bracing, and this particular model is characterized by a woody sound with clarity and balance, as well as comfortable volume, sustain, and responsiveness.

The aforementioned wood material also makes the sound familiar and easy to handle.

Expression System 2 (ES2) pickups are used.

While it is a pickup system using piezo elements, it is characterized by a sound that naturally outputs the original sound of the guitar, without the “piezo smell” that is often heard in conventional under-saddle piezo pickups. This is a used guitar.

This instrument came in used.

The overall condition of the guitar is clean, with a few scratches and scuffs that can be seen or hidden depending on the angle at which the light is shined.

The neck condition is currently fine, and there is still room in the truss rod.

There is some fret wear on the low fret side of the plain strings. There is about 70% fret loss at the reduced part, and about 80% remaining overall.

The Taylor has the unique sound of X-bracing.

We recommend this guitar to those who do not have a Taylor, as well as to those who usually use a V-class.
