Numerous components of the Boeing 787, also known as the "Dreamliner", are manufactured in Japan and Italy and then transported to the USA for final assembly on four heavily modified 747-400 aircraft. Boeing therefore gave these “Large Cargo Freighters” the appropriate nickname “Dreamlifters”. Originally delivered to Malaysia Airlines in 1992, N718BA was the last of four jumbo jets converted and entered service for Boeing in 2010. In addition to the bulbous cargo space, the most striking feature is the swiveling rear. This new development on a scale of 1:500 can be presented either closed or with the rear swiveled to the side.
