P. CONWAY BLUE SODA BOTTLER PHILADA. ON FRONT....NO. 8 HUNTER ST. 108 FILBERT STREET MINERAL WATERS ON REVERSE.  SUBSTANTIAL IRON IN THE PONTIL...NICE PRIMITIVE LOOK.  ANOTHER OF A BUNCH FROM AN OLDE CITY PEWTER PLATTER ALLEY ( NOW CHURCH STREET) PRIVY THE AARDVARK WAS FORTUNATE TO HAVE UNDER THE SHOVEL.  This one, in my view,  is on the sapphire side of the blue scale.  Several large bubbles in the neck and body.  As found patina, simply washed out.  The aardvark stands aside for tumblers and realizes that some will want to give this blue beauty a spin.  To each his own.  NO CHIPS OR CRACKS...all the power and presence of a blue soda from the 1850's golden age.  71/2" x 2 1/2 .  The aardvark digs for soul in the ground all around town and has been known to find it with patience and due diligence.  Ride the philadelphia soul train and have this artifact on your shelf.  The aardvark wishes you well.
