The second of the Hanukka commemorative coins is dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the collective settlement Degania: "Mother of the co-operative villages". The coin also commemorates the jubilee of Israel's collective agricultural movement. |

On the top left, the word "Israel" in Hebrew and Arabic. Underneath, the year of issue in Hebrew and English, "5720-1960". On the lower right, in Hebrew, "1 Israeli Lira". |
Reverse |
Degania is seen on the shore of Lake Kinneret, with a silhouette of cypresses, palms and dwellings, and in enlarged Hebrew characters to the left, is its name "Degania". In a half-circle round the upper rim, the word: "Jubilee of Collective Settlement" are inscribed in Hebrew. |
