This model was first released in 1978 and became one of the last models of the Dinky range. Some really interesting history about it at the link below:

Probably the most exciting feature of this model was the twin missile launchers at the sides of the spaceship. As you might guess the missiles that these fired have usually got lost over the years, and because Dinky went bust in 1980 you can no longer buy these parts.
We have therefore meticulously designed a replacement based on the originals and have carefully measured them to ensure they are a great fit for the model, and ensure they work perfectly in the launchers. Please have a good look at the pics , and there is also a pic of the new missiles compared to the old one. You'll see that they are just about identical in size, with the only difference being a slightly different nose cone. We've produced them in a standard white as pictured, vintage cream (in case your plastic on your model has yellowed over the years like ours), in black and also in silver. We're confident you'll be delighted with your purchase as these are top quality replacements produced on industrial quality machinery.
