Condition:

1. Visually:
- is been used very little and images show that, there are just a few very little scuffs and scratches, but overall it is in pristine condition
- the m42 screw mount has a bit of wear, but that's normal from screwing it on and off the body

2. Functionally:
- both the front glass and rear glass are in very, very good shape, pretty much no dust, no fog, no fungus or separation
- the aperture ring is snappy and click-y, it does not skip steps, it shifts pretty much like new
- the focusing ring is a bit stiff; I did manage to unscrew the mount once when I was focusing with it, but it should not happen regularly and there is a good chance - it will become more loose once it gets used more. I  only tested this lens for a day
- the aperture blades sometimes do not jump back to f16 and shut down (close) completely, meaning - when you switch from f2 to f16 it might get stuck at f4 or f8 or around that area.
- there is tiny bit of oil on the aperture blades, but it's so minimal, you can barely spot it. See the pictures of the blades - they are something other sellers would call 'perfectly clean', but I want to be as honest as possible - there is a bit on them. This might also be why they get stuck sometimes, but again - there is a good chance they will work correct after some usage. This lens has been sitting in a case for about 20 years

What's included:
1. The lens itself
2. Front cap
3. Plastic case (which also serves as a rear cap, since the lens screws into it)

OPTIONAL: If you own a Pentax and plan to put in on a Pentax camera  - I can add M42-PK adapter (with infinity focus) for free. Just let me know.

Quick Q & A:

Q: Can I fit this on my modern DSLR? (Canon, Sony, Pentax etc.)
A: Yes, you can. But you need an m42 adapter. They cost from couple of dollars to $20-30 bucks for some good ones. Also - if you have a Nikon, it might be harder to find an adapter that focuses to infinity. Due to how Nikon places it's mirror in the DSLR body.

Q: Does this produce the famous 'swirly bokeh'?
A: Yes, it does. And very well. Check some sample photos online. That said - you can get even more 'swirly-ness' out of 44-2 version. This lens is sharper but people say it lacks the vintage 'character'. See for yourself. I find it glorious.

Returns:

I accept returns for a good reason. Let's say you find the focusing ring of this lens TOO stiff. You can return it back for 100% refund. But return shipping is paid by buyer. I refund the money once I receive the lens back in the same condition.

Thanks.
