From Union Cases: "This romantic vignette is based on a mezzotint by the eminent Philadelphia engraver John Sartain (1808-1897) from a painting by Alfred deDreux. The scene shows a young woman on horseback awaiting the arrival of her lover. His figure can be seen in the distance, coming down the forest lane."

CONDITION. This case needs a velvet pad for one side and a liner for the other, or liners for both sides. Corners and edges are all good and sharp. The short rails each have stress cracks. Clasps still work, but a little sticky.
