Casio Depth Meter: DEP-500

Hey there, thanks for checking out my listing! Up for sale is a vintage Casio DEP-500 quartz digital depth-sensor watch. Beautiful pre-owned condition and fully functional! These were a low production model from Casio and thus ultra rare and elusive to find.

The DEP-500 is a no-nonsense, absolute beast of a watch from Casio originally released in the early 1990's. Casio designed this watch with an integrated depth sensor prominently mounted on the left side of the case that when immersed in water, measures water pressure to accurately track and display depth while diving underwater.

This watch is fully functional, including the LCD display which is clear and without leakage or other blemishes. Running on x4 395 cell batteries, the DEP-500 watch forgoes most of the usual Casio modes and instead only has two modes of operation: time-keeping mode and dive mode. Dive mode is used to show total dive time, maximum depth, average depth, as well as start and finish times of the dive. The watch also has the ability to view data from the previous 5 dives, and hence the "Log Memory" nameplate on the bezel. The watch additionally has an incandescent (bulb)-type backlight. All modes and features, as well as the depth sensor, are fully operational without issue.

This particular watch is in beautiful pre-owned condition. I've just installed a new silicon Iso-style strap on the watch which should fit a large variety of wrists. The case and crystal are extraordinarily clean with some slight wear throughout as can be seen in the images. Four fresh high-quality batteries were just installed. Lastly, and before sealing up the watch, I have applied a light coating of silicone grease to the case gaskets to promote water resistance and prevent the gaskets from getting dry or brittle.

With that said, I've examined this watch thoroughly, as well as tested the accuracy and functionality with no issues to report. This watch is ready to be worn and enjoyed for years to come!

Quartz module is running well and keeping accurate time, all functions working without any issue.
All pushers work smoothly and are not sticky.
Case seals are intact and look in excellent condition, a light coating of silicone grease was applied to prevent drying out and promote water resistance.
