A very nice true vintage leather riding crop, possibly circa 1950s ??
The crop features a leather plaited pommel top with a silver coloured metal pin
An intricately plaited brown leather shaft with original leather handle
❁ ❁ ❁ ❁ ❁
I'm unsure of the maker as the original silver coloured metal pin has been worn away and so shows a great deal of wear, discolouration, tarnishing, scratches and marks
The riding crop looks very similar in style to that of Swaine Adney Brigg ??? However I cannot be certain of this as I'm not an xpert in this area of vintage, so for this reason I'm selling it as unbranded
Swaine Adeney Brigg are one of the oldest names and the Rolls Royce in the world of luxury goods, so the Best of the Best, having traded in London St James's for over 270 years
The house remains one of the most celebrated and decorated makers, being the ultimate destination for traditional luxury leather goods
Swaine Adeney in their words 'an international byword for impeccable British craftsmanship' since 1836, and they still manufacture quality items by appointment to the Royal Family, but the production is very limited
❁ ❁ ❁ ❁ ❁
The riding crop is in good to fair used vintage condition for the age of the item, possibly circa 1950s
The handle strap of the riding crop does show signs of age, wear and use with surface wear, cracks and peeling to the leather
The shaft of the riding crop is in good condition with just some slight marks and discolouration
Both the metal pin and the metal collar show signs of age, discolouration, dents, scratches and marks

Please note that this riding crop is not being sold as Swaine Adney Brigg as I cannot be certain of this, as although it is very similar in design, the metal base pin has sadly been worn away so much that it is no longer possible to see any visible makers mark or logo
Ideal for any Film sets/Plays as a vintage prop
Lovely for any collectors of equestrian items
