This is a vintage DeRosa Rinconada Collection figurine of a large, multicolored elephant. It stands at 8 inches tall and is signed by the artist. The elephant is likely made of ceramic or porcelain and is intended for decorative purposes. There is a green leaf that has come off of the head.  See photos for details.  Still an amazing and beautiful piece of art.
