You are bidding on a set of SIX Union soldiers of the 14th Indiana Regiment, which I hand panted in 54 mm to represent this heroic Brigade during the Battle Of Gettysburg, on July 2nd, 1863!  During the assaults by Longstreet's Brigade along the entire front of the "Fishook Line", the batteries of Weidrich's was overrun and Ricketts (the 2nd New York Light Artillery) lost two of their guns to the onslought!  The 14th Indians and another regimemt counterattacked the oncoming Confederates, with a cheer and won back the guns, with aritllerymen and Ifnatryment fighting side by side to the save the two batteries!

These Indiana troops were heavily engaged during this battle, and suffered some the loss of their color bearer, and several soldiers wounded, following this battlem but they saved the guns for the next day's battle!

This unit had fought in the Western theatre at the outset of the War but were transfereed to East after the the Battle at Kernstown.  The arrived in time for Second Manassas, Antietam and Gettysburg, and their work there did save the guns that could have been captured by the Confederates.

The set includes SIX figures from Accurate, Imex and one origninal Marx customized figure!  Imex and Accurate both made American Civil War soldiers for most of the nineties, but discontiued them after about a dozen years or so, so they are no longer produced,- but for a while the same sculptor was used to make the prototype figures, so work very well together, as shown in the photos above!  Included in the group are the featured color bearer with his hand rendered American flag, the officer firing his Colt Army .45, one standing firing figure wearing a bedroll, one figure loading his rifle, one soldier who has just been wounded and dropping his rifle!  And the last figure is and origninal Marx figure, who came into my possesion with a missing bugle on both ends, and his arm moved away from his body, probably how the one end of the bugle broke off of the figure.  I didn't want to move his arm, but I added the front and back portions of a bugle, superglued the parts, and then covered the repairs with white glue and the repair looks good as you can see from the photos, but he's not blowing the bugle, just holding it near his face, which would be the case after he made the call to attack!
.
Most of the figures are dresseded in "sack" coats, so named as the fit like a sack, with few sizes, just small and large, with sky blue trousers to go with the dark blue kepis and jackets!  The officer wears a shorter shell jacket, tailored a little more carefully than the typical infantry soldiers!  Belts, straps and  and shoes were normally blackened leather, while canteens were usually covered in blue cloth to protect from heat and reduce the possible glare of the metal canteen without a cover, held by a cotton strap.. Their weapons and equipment I painted to accurately depict them as they would have appeared during the Civil War!

And keep in mind I will combine shipping for two or more sets that you win in the same week!

After hand painting all of my soldiers and accessories with quality acrylic paints (bright trim is done in enamel), I overcoat them with acrylic flat finish to give them a museum type finish as well as giving them a protective coat over the painted details, and sign and date the bases!
