Welcome to my page and thank you for looking trough my listings !

I service professionally any vintage lens.

If  you have your own lens that needs a service, please get in touch, I'm more than happy to help in bringing back to life your old lens. I also carry out repairs where possible, if the lens has a factory fault or something that occurred during it's use.

In most cases, you will receive your lens in amazing condition , unless there are serious damages on it.

This is something I do in my spare time ,  for many years, no matter of make and model.

I do this as a passion for photography, for vintage lenses , and so you guys can enjoy a vintage glass on it's full potential, without having to worry about the issues that a 40/60/70  years old lens has without being service.

This listing is for a copy of the famous Tessar 50mm f2.8 , in Exakta mount.

It is a superb lens, super sharp with a very short minimum focusing distance.

The lens has been fully serviced (I never service a lens partially ) , completely disassembled, every little part has been cleaned, washed, polished, re lubricated.

The washing process , with detergents, not only helps for a nice and clean look of the barrel, getting all the dust out, but it also eliminates the risk of any fungal traces/spores may exist on the parts.

Mechanically the lens is is fully working order since it has received a full overhaul.

Smooth focusing action, I use a home made grease designed for camera lenses,  which I found to be the best available on the market after testing many other industry dedicated greases during the years. This grease is made by one of our eBay members "red-vision" and is available here on ebay.

The Aperture ring clicks nicely and precise, clean and dry Aperture blades, since the whole system has been washed.

All the glass elements have been cleaned , also exposed to UVC as a preventive measures for potential fungus traces.

Optics : there is no fungus , no haze, no oil vapours since I have cleaned all the optics.

I must mention that this lens had fungus when it arrived to my workshop.

The fungus has been removed but it left some marks on the front optics. I tried to show this in the photos. Nothing too concerning in my opinion, the lens is very usable and performs great.

I also have re blackened the edges of the inner elements, this improves the contrast massively as the old black paint is  faded after so many decades.

For the aesthetic condition of the barrel  please inspect all the photos. There is a section of the rubber/plastic missing from around the focusing ring, you can see it in photo no. 7, I will try to upload some more photos of this section.

Obviously  focuses to infinity on Exakta camera or the correct adapter for digital.

Sold with front cap only .

Please feel free to ask any questions or request  samples taken with the actual lens.
