Welcome to my page and thank you for looking trough my listings !

I service professionally any vintage lens.

So if you have your own lens that needs a service, please get in touch, I'm more than happy to help in bringing back to life your old lens. I also carry out repairs where possible, if the lens has a factory fault or something that occurred during it's use.

In most cases, you will receive your lens in amazing condition , unless there are serious damages on it.

My motto is "any vintage lens deserves a new life", they are not made anymore and numbers are getting less and less.

This is something I do in my spare time ,  for many years, no matter of make and model.

I do this because of my passion for photography, for vintage lenses , and so you guys can enjoy a vintage glass on it's full potential, without having to worry about the issues that an 40/60/70  years old lens has without being service.

This listing is for a nice Zebra Flektogon 35/2.8

The lens has been fully serviced (I never service a lens partially ) , completely disassembled, every little part has been cleaned, washed, polished, re lubricated.

The washing process , with detergents, not only helps for a nice and clean look of the barrel, getting all the dust out, but it also eliminates the risk of any fungal traces/spores may exist on the parts.

I use a very high quality grease for my lenses, homemade by one of the ebay members.  You can find his grease here on eBay.

Mechanically the lens is in mint condition. It has been disassembled, cleaned throughout, regreased .

The focus ring works very smooth as well as the aperture ring.

The aperture blades are very clean and dry, free from oil.

All the glass elements have been cleaned and polished and they look very clear .

The optics are in superb condition, clean and cristal clear elements. There is no fungus , no scratches, no cleaning marks, no coatig issues.

The optical elements have been treated with my "special " cream as a precaution to prevent fungus as well as exposed to UVC light

The lens is tested and performs beautiful as it should.

Something I recently discovered and I would like to mention regarding the aperture system on this specific Flektogon  (we always learn even we think we know everything, right ?) :

The lens is designed with what it is called "automatic aperture compensation". You can find more details online about this.

When set at minimum focusing distance, the aperture is wide open with the aperture ring set to f4 instead to f2.8.  the kens is telling you that the effective f stop at 0.18cm is f4.

As you focus towards infinity, there is a correlation between the aperture system and focusing, the aperture gradually shuts down one stop at f4 , and once infinity reached the wide open at f2.8 is possible .

I have given this long explanation so the buyer knows this is not a fault but it is how the lens is designed. I have attached the last photo which shows the slider for the aperture ring which is made in an angle, specifically for this behaviour to happen.

Focuses to infinity on exakta mount or on digital via the correct adapter.

Sold with front cap only, I will make sure the rear is well protected before packing it down.

Please feel free to ask any questions or requests sample photos taken with the actual lens. Happy to post it outside UK.

Thanks for watching and please check my other listings!
