Neumann M 147 Tube Condenser Mic Overview

Neumann

Legendary sound at an affordable price. The Neumann M 147 Tube Condenser Mic is a must-have for any musician or recordist that's serious about achieving the best sound possible. From drums to strings, and brass to guitar. It's hard to go too far wrong with this microphone in your locker.

Just as comfortable on-stage as it is in the studio. The M 147 comes complete with the very same capsule that can be found in U47 and M49 microphones. Thanks to its incredibly low self-noise level, the Tube Condenser is able to reproduce the subtlest of nuances when recording delicate parts such as hushed vocals and finger-picked acoustics. All without the fear of hiss detracting from those all important takes.

Based on the same award winning combination that exists within the M 149, the M 147 is the perfect blend between innovative tube technology and solid-state circuitry. When not in use, the Tube Condenser can be easily stored within its solid hard-case to ensure a long-lasting-life. Make your job easier and recordings better today!

One aspect that makes the M 147 so appealing is its high level of sensitivity. Coming in at 20mV/Pa, you'll be free to capture every last nuance of any sound. You'll be forgiven for forgetting the Tube Condenser isn't a stereo microphone thanks to its highly refined spatial characteristics. Recording with this microphone is practically cheating. You'll find that with this microphone in your locker making sounds translate from the room to the speakers will feel like an almost effortless endeavour.

Polar pattern perfection

Thanks to its cardioid polar pattern, the M 147 is perfect for both complex studio recordings and live sound. Equally as comfortable in front of an orchestra as it is a guitar cabinet, the Tube Condenser delivers a highly focused sound with incredible off-axis rejection of undesirable noise and ambience.

Finest components

Like the M 149, the M147 boasts the exact same triode vacuum tube. This combined with contemporary circuitry allows you to make the most of the tubes' unique transfer characteristics. All processed audio signals from the capsule will be sent straight to the M147's output, free from undesirable distortion or colouration. Thanks to the inclusion of a high-output voltage, you'll be free to connect microphone cables up to 300m in length without losing any sound quality.

This microphone has been fully tested and used a couple of times in the studio.
I am selling this mic due to the lack of need for it, as I am doing less studio work and more live work.
I would love for this to get to a good home, and be truly appreciated.

Demonstration upon collection will be provided, using Focusrite Clarett interface and Shure Headphones.

Only serious buyers, as this is a very high end product, not ideal for beginners studios.

Any questions, don't hesitate to ask.
