Watkins Rapier 1960s 22 Electric Guitar Fiesta Red for poss restoration

The body, neck and head are all the original ‘Fiesta Red’ paint/surfaces with no "touch-ups" and it is in very original condition.

Serial No. 7342.

It’s a rare red neck and with original toaster pickups and tuners.

But there is the usual problem of lacquer cracking on the body and around the neck inset area.

There are other paint chips and dinks consistent with its age .... please study my photos, they are a part of the description.

Electrics all sound fine, not too many crackles from the pots.

Now, I’m no musician so my observations are purely from a mechanical perspective.

NOTE, the ‘Watkins Rapier 22’ tape on the scratch plate covers two holes where a former owner fitted additional switches (why?).

(Replacement scratch pates are available, or cut your own.)

One knob is not original and the strap knobs are non original Watkins type.

Missing is the 'Hi-Lo' plate from the anchor plate.

Play 'as is' or restore!

Please look with care at my photos – they form part of the description.
