Up for auction is a 'Last Sleep of the Brave' Print by Alphonse de Neuville, (1836 - 1885). Published by J.C. Mummery, Middlesex, England and dated 1991. It is published by courtesy of the Director, National Army Museum, London.

The print features the moment of the discovery of the bodies of Lieutenants Melville and Coghill who died trying to save the colours of the 1st Battalian of the 24th Regiment of Foot, in 1879 during the Zulu War.

Printed in the UK, where it was bought, but never used, it has been stored away in a mailing tube.

Print Size (outer) approximately: 59.0 cms x 41.9 cms, (23.25 inches x 16.50 inches).

Print Size (image) approximately: 45.7 cms x 32.4 cms, (18.00 inches x 12.75 inches).
