Rat Bait guitar built in May 2024 from new and reclaimed parts. Full scale. Free UK delivery.

This Nashville Telecaster inspired guitar body is made from salvaged timber, pieces of wood that were scavenged from various places: Materials from a bookcase, part of a 1970s panelled front door, a piece of Exmoor Spruce and other salvaged bits.

The images of the headstock may be misinterpreted as having a split in it, it is actually grain in the wood - likewise the image of the neck shows darker grain. The neck is solid and is not damaged.

Constructed and shaped by hand in a rat infested shed in North Devon. This Barnwood Nashville style body is routed to take a standard neck pickup, single coil middle pickup and standard Telecaster bridge pickup. A handmade body that has dents, scratches and grey paint in places that has been finished in beeswax, giving it a warm colour.

Reused and reshaped, these discarded bits of timber gems have been given a new life. This timber has been upcycled, repurposed and recycled.
