I also collect little golden books so your description is accurate as I am very fussy.

SIMON AND SCHUSTER  NEW YORK  ©1951 B EDITION (POSSIBLY 1951/52 but definitely no later than 1953 (dated message)

On the back cover is the four colour squares  numbers are 1 to 205 D3 to D30. There are 28 pages in colour and two tone (red and black).   The black and silver foil is good with only some wear to the top and bottom. The hardboards are good for the age of this book. There is some buping and rubbing wear on the corners and some wear or rubbing on the edges. Nothing major. Some light rubbing on covers. PLEASE VIEW YOUR PICTURES AS THEY FORM PART OF THE DESCRIPTION please ask questions if you have them. Inside covers are dark yellow and illustrated in colour. There is a neat adult written name in the belongs to box.  And an old ink from on the spine edge of the first page dated 1953, so book is obviously at least 67 years old. Pages are very good, no tears and no scribble. Clean and bright.   Book is rare and in great condition.
