Great old wooden sewing box was some type of award "For Excellence in Sewing", to Helen Grotte, in June, 1927. It measures about 9" wide, 7 3/4" deep, and 4" tall. It has It has beautiful wood, and brass hinges & hasp are solid. The little brass commerotive plate on top is 2 X 1 1/4". The nice blue interior is in great shape, but could use a brisk dusting. The dowels for thread spools are there, and hooks under lid maybe for scissors and such.
