Up for sale is a gorgeous Hand Painted / Transfer Porcelain Charger Plate. Made in Austria. Circa 1891-1918.

Featuring a gorgeous Lime Green Color with an ornate floral Gold Gilt Design, Pink, Purple, Blue, Yellow, Orange and Red Flowers around the Border of the platter and a scene with a man playing a drum while a woman is dancing with a Cherub. The scene in the center of the platter is part transfer and part hand painted, The basic image was transferred on and then all the accents and fine detail were hand painted in afterwards. The charger also featured 2 holes in the edge of the base to hang it on a wall.

The base has a blue underglaze mark that reads "VICTORIA / CARLSBAD / AUSTRIA". This mark was used between 1891-1918.

There is some wear to the paint on the flowers as well as the woman's dress and some wear to the green paint and to the gold gilt. Otherwise the charger is in great shape with typical base wear. It still displays beautifully.

Measurements are approximately:
9 7/8" Diameter.
5 3/4" Base Diameter.
1 5/8" Tall.

This is an antique, handmade item and may have manufacturers imperfections which do not affect the display of the piece.
