"The Seven Green Pools of Cintra"

Very scarce limited printing with original title of " Seven Green Pools of Cintra" circa 1912 original. This piece is also called " Forest Princess" and later Parrish painted out background and retitled "Griselda" 


Of note this sale is for the Rare "Art Print" on titled mount and not the Century Magazine plate!


Beautiful image pictures a Princess ( modeled by Susan Lewin) against a flowering forest with Waterfall and rocky landscape The prince in background is about come into the presence of the Princess. Originally the image was published in Century magazine accompanied by a poem.


This rare printing is from a private Library collection as noted on back of C. D. McLane and is in perfect 111 year old condition. Overall mounted size is 8 1/2" x 11 1/4" with actual art being 4 3/4" x 6 1/8". Print is mounted or tipped onto a heavy cream mount with title.


Of note image of repainted image "Griselda" does not come with sale but shown for reference.
