Route 66 Key Chain/ Driver’s License Holder

The following is offered for the benefit of a youngster who was recently orphaned by a drunk driver. The boy’s parents were huge Route 66 fans, and, in fact, they traveled the entire route on their honeymoon. There’s a novel idea!

Offered here is an unusual Route 66 collectible. It’s a Key Chain / Driver’s License Holder from Kommer’s Standard Service. Highway 66, St. Clair, Missouri. It’s not dated but it’s from the days when a driver’s license was paper and not plastic, possibly the 50’s or 60’s. So, a person would always have the license with them, it was to be rolled up and stored in the small plastic tube which also served as a keychain. The tube is approximately 3 inches long and ¼ inches in diameter. The name of the station and the Standard logo are printed on the side. Since the instructions were still rolled up inside, it appears the holder was never actually used to store a license.

PLEASE, all proceeds will go immediately to aid the boy so be SURE to review all the information and photosand ask any questions BEFORE you bid as all sales must be final–No returns.
