For your consideration, an intriguing, well executed watercolor portrait of an elderly gentleman, circa 1880s Virginia. The work is watercolor on paper and in overall good condition with mild toning. Some age related scratching to the original antique frame is noted in photos. Info affixed to the frame attributes the painting to Virginia artist Emily Williams Kent though I have not been able to find additional information on her.

Painting measures 8.25 x 10 1/8 inches in matting and frame measures 11 5/8 x 13 5/8 inches.
