The game appears to hold the save at the moment, but sometimes - depending on the state of the battery - these cartridge might lose the save after a few days/weeks.
Please bear this in mind when making a purchase, but thankfully these batteries are cheap to replace. We can also arrange for the battery to be replaced before shipping, so if you're interested please feel free to ask :)
