Vintage 1968 Citizen Cutlass Auto Day Date 33 Jewels Automatic Watch with a dark grey dial
The Cutlass range was Citizen's more upmarket range at the time as shown by the high jewel count. The movement inside, hacks, hand winds and has a quick set date and is relatively thin. The combination of these features can only be found in Grand Seikos and King Seikos of the same era. Unfortunately, I cannot photograph the movement as I do not have the right tools.
The watch has distinctive case shape with hooded lugs and Citizen mess bracelet. The design can be regarded as retro futuristic and very much of its era ie late 1960s and early 1970s. It has a slate / dark grey metallic dial with a distinctive distinctive vertical brushing. It is in excellent state of preservation with no blemishes. The case retains it original radial brushed finish on the top while having a polished finish on the sides and back / caseback. It is in full working order, keeping accurate time and is in excellent condition given it dates to 1969 (54 years old).
