Vintage 1970s Raymond Weil Handwind Watch with ETA/Peseux 7000 movement in very good condition

This dress watch is in very good condition and keeping accurate time given it is a vintage watch from the 1970s. The watch is reminiscent of Cartier's Ronde Must De Cartier and even has the same dark blue cabochon topped crown. The equivalent Cartier would be in the region of 10 times the price of this watch.

The case is gold plated (G10) with a stainless steel back. There are signs of wear but none of the gold plating has worn off and is even in colour throughout. The domed acrylic crystal has one or two minor scratches but is generally in good order, The dial is cream / off white in colour and again in good order.

Inside is the ETA/Peseux 7000 movement which is known for its thinness and robustness. Many of the early Nomos watches used this hand wound movement. Their later in-house calibers are basically a modified version of this movement.

The watch wears bigger than its dimensions would suggest (more 34-35 mm) due to the absence of a bezel and a comparatively large dial. It comes on an used black leather strap as well as a new dark blue perlon strap to give the watch a more casual look.
