This 1951 Five Shilling Coin ( Crown) was Minted to celebrate the 1951 Festival of Britain. It was a big National Event to Highlight Britains recovery after the Second World War.

I remember visiting a big Festival site on the South bank of the Thames as a 12 year old School Boy!

It has been stored away for some time now. The original Green Box is not pristine but is original!

The coin is in very good clean condition and features the portrait of King George VI, who reigned from 1936 to 1952.

This 1951 Festival of Britain Crown in its original box is a valuable addition to any coin collection.

This coin is a good long term investment and a great  way to own a piece of Britains history.
