THE BYRDS “Preflyte” RARE PROMO COPY FROM 1969, Vinyl Near Mint Cover EX, NICE!

From the archives! This Lp was released in 1969 from early Byrds demos done in 1964! The vinyl looks pristine, no visible marks, must be called Near Mint because it is nearly 55 years old, but it looks mint to me. The labels have “Promotion Not For Sale” printed below the center hole. The Gatefold cover shows a little yellowing with age, maybe a ding or two, and a hint of ring wear, BUT it is intact, no losses, no splits, no tears…a brilliant copy. The generic white paper inner sleeve has no tears or seam splits. This album is rare, a promo copy is even more scarce, and in this condition it has to be among the finest available for purchase.

Here are the baby Byrds, ready to fledge! Early demos recorded in 1964. One can hear how they would evolve, and their early influences…The Beatles, Everly Brothers, early Rock pioneers like Chuck Berry, and of course Bob Dylan. Listen to the seminal origin of the L.A. Folk Rock sound…exciting stuff!
