This remarkably charming 100 year old sheet music for the pianoforte by Mari Paldi seems to be a rare surviving piece. The only other original from this series of 12 compositions I can find online is in the collection of a museum. This piece is Tweedledee and Tweedledum. Pictures in Alice Wonderland.

Published by Theodore Presser Co. at 1712 Chestnut St. in Philadelphia in 1924.

The cover is orange with a delightful black and white Alice in Wonderland procession image featuring The Mad Hatter, the White Rabbit, Alice, and others. Still in tact enough to play from, hold in a collection, or suitable for framing.

Paper has yellowed with age and shows light staining on the exterior. There are several small tears, creases, and foxing along the edges, and one small puncture by the “A” in Alice - none of which interfere with legibility or visual interest, to my eye. There are a few faint penciled notations within from a prior musician. Still in impressive good condition for its century of use and enjoyment.

We care deeply about books & sheet music and carefully inspect, clean, and take photos of those we sell so that you can see the actual item you are considering and bid with confidence, rather than taking a chance on a stock photo. We want you to love your purchase. Please ask any questions before bidding - we are happy to help!

We also reuse clean recycled packaging to try to lessen our impact, so you may see a brand logo packaging arrive that isn’t relevant to your purchase, but should help it arrive safely. :)

USPS media mail may be selected to reduce postage cost, though typically travels more slowly.
