Vintage Carlos Diaz Master Arizona Silversmith Belt buckle and bolo set. Nice old, well cared for set with lots of character and nice stones. Buckle is 3.5" x 2 1/8" and fits a 1.5" belt, Bolo is 40" long with a 2 1/8" x 1 5/8" bolo slide, total weight for both pieces is 154.3 grams. No issues.

Carlos Diaz, Master Silversmith

Carlos Diaz was born in Bogotá, Columbia. At the early age of 14, he became an apprentice under his uncle who was a Silversmith and quickly fell in love with what would be his life long career and passion. After finishing his apprenticeship, Carlos learned the Art of Repousse and Chasing from Parisian Master Silversmith, Gaston Avenel. At 23, Carlos worked in Ecuador for a few years making chalices for the Catholic church and hollowware for the Embassy. In 1953, Carlos came to Tucson Arizona and began piecework for local jewelers.

In 1958, Carlos graduated from the GIA, Gemological Institute of America, in 1978 and holds a degree in Gemology.

Anything marked is guaranteed to be what it's marked, most bracelets are photographed on a 6" wrist, rings photographed on the appropriate sized finger when possible.
