Chinese silver (content unknown) paa box/ tea caddy, enameled lid, spinach green jade cylindrical body, framed by enameled columns, brightly gilt interior, on a filigree hexagonal stepped base, stamped silver underfoot, stone with natural fissures, approx 6.25"h, 4.75"w, 4.75"d, 548 grams (inclusive of all materials) There is very minor damage to the green enamel on a few of the sharp points on the roof, this is only visible upon the closest examination. **Provenance: From the estate of Ali A. Abssi (1934-2020) and Florence Hall Abssi (1919-2014), founders of the Ishtar Gate Gallery in the prestigious Houston Galleria. They were world travelers and dealers of eclectic art, jewelry, antiquities, and gems. Their friends, acquaintances, and customers included people from all continents, including sheiks, prime ministers, royals, business leaders, politicians, and oil magnates.
