This vintage Gerber BMF survival knife is a must-have for any serious collector or outdoorsman. Made in the USA in the early 80’s, it has a very low serial number - 005193. The knife features an 8-inch clip point blade made of 400 series stainless steel with a bead-blasted finish. The tang is full and the handle is made of Hypalon, providing a comfortable and secure grip in any weather condition. It is in excellent condition. The knife includes a variety of useful features, such as a sawback, lanyard hole, sheath, striking pommel, tie-down holes, and a Silva compass. The knife is ambidextrous and comes with the original sheath and compass. This is a truly collectible item that is sure to impress anyone with an appreciation for vintage fixed-blade knives.

The knife is used and it shows very, very light signs of less than normal usage: very minor small areas where the finish is thin; the edge near the tip exhibits really small signs of use. The brass snaps on the sheath are a bit tarnished. There are no signs of sharpening or abuse.
