This is an original vintage motorcycle/ VSCC car, cork crash hat as commonly used and worn in the 1950's & 60's.

By the well known supplier Chas Owen & Co. (Bow) Ltd, of 82-102 Hanbury Street, London E1 5JN.

This is the Skulgarde crash helmet, which is very similar to the 'Corker' and Everoak helmets also available at the time.

This example has been well used and is in a worn state, with some repairs to the rear neck guard, as can be seen in the images and could easily be repaired if required.

It is black leatherette finish and appears to have had some additional ear noise attenuation pads added by a previous owner. There is a small nick in the top but this could easily be repaired.

Although a little scruffy, it would make a great addition to a vintage collection of motorcycles / cars / automobilia.

They are becoming quite difficult to find now but quite sought after by the vintage motor collectors.

The internal diameter is approx. 23 1/4".
