I service professionally any vintage lens.

This is something I do in my spare time ,  for many years, no matter of make and model.

I do this as a  passion for photography, for vintage lenses , and so you guys can enjoy a vintage glass on it's full potential, without having to worry about the issues that an 40/60/70  years old lens has without being service.

This listing is for a Mamyia Sekor 55mm f1.8 in serviced condition.

The lens has been fully serviced (I never service a lens partially ) , completely disassembled, every little part has been cleaned, washed, polished, re lubricated.

The washing process , with detergents, not only helps for a nice and clean look of the barrel, getting all the dust out, but it also eliminates the risk of any fungal traces/spores may exist on the parts.

I use a very high quality grease for my lenses, homemade by one of the ebay members.  You can find his grease here on eBay

Mechanically it is in good working condition since it had received a full overhaul.

There is one issue though, the lens is missing the auto/manual aperture switch button. I have rescued this lens after someone messed around with it and the switch was lost. The auto/manual mechanism is still intact inside and the lens can be switched to auto or manual with a little screwdriver head or anything that fits the space. I will send it already set up in manual mode.

The aperture blades are dry and clean as you can see in the photos.

The whole aperture barrel and the whole system have been washed so no oil is left inside.

Aesthetically the lens barrel is in very good condition, please inspect all the photos. There are the usual age related marks but no damages.

Optically the lens is good condition with one minor scratch, very thin ,of about 1-2mm on the rear element. I have managed to capture this in the photos. All the other optical elements are fine without damages.

All the optical elements have been cleaned individually, treated with my special anti fungal cream as a preventive measure.

The lens is tested and performs beautiful as it should,   lots of  sharpness and contrast as you would expect from a Mamyia lens.

I've attached samples taken with the actual lens, joegs straight out if camera without any pp. The last two are taken with strong sun in front of the lens (backlight subject) , the performance is great as it should be.

Focuses to infinity on the correct mount/adapter for digital , or on native M42 camera body.

Sold with front and rear caps, M42 mount.

Please inspect all the photos for the body condition as there is no better way to describe this.
