Vintage sterling silver 925 with turquoise stone curling snake bangle bracelet. Weighs 19.6 grams.

This bangle type bracelet is in very good condition for its age. It opens by sliding the turquoise snake head out from under its tail. Lots of detail to the sterling showing the ridges in the snakes body. The external bangle when closed measures 8” and my wife’s wrist is 7” around (widest part of her hand is 8”) and she is able to wear it comfortably. However, the snake’s head must be pressed hard to get it out from other its tail so I wanted to mention this.

The thickness of the bangle portion of the snakes body is about 4 mm. The snakes head is about 10 .5 mm. The measurement inside the bangle (across is about 2.25 inches).

For my wife’s average sized wrist it fits comfortably once it is in and the snakes head again is underneath the body. The sterling is marked 925 inside the bangle. The turquoise stone on the snake’s head measures about 5 mm.

My wife bought this many years ago probably in the 1970’s.
