This is a great antique 47-piece set of metal & wood drafting tools, 4 with bone handles.  They are in a beautifully decorated wd. box with a masonic (?) design on top & 4 wd. balls on top & bottom.  Box measures 13-1/2" long x 8" wide x 3-1/2" high.  Inside lid section has a cover with a wonderful design  (masonic ?) to match box cover.  One compass is signed "G.R. Smallwood".  The 2 wd. templates are broken, but not separated.  Several of the sm. wood section box dividers could be missing, but doesn't take away from box.  Don't know the age, but was purchased yrs. ago from an old Va. estate.  Hasn't been cleaned - in "as found" condition.  Great piece!  Please look at photos carefully & ask any questions, as I know this is a lot in the "Description".

Set consists of:  34 tools/instruments (4 w/ bone handles)                   2 wd. design pcs.
6 pc. wood angles w/ 1 signed G.R. Smallwood        4 loose pcs. of wood probably were part of box sections
Bottom tray is empty (probably in top tray) - top tray is full of instruments
Section between lid & top section has great design - section does have sm. chip on 1 corner
