As of April 2024, McKenna just won the APTN Bryan Trottier Most Valuable Indigenous Player Award for 2024. He and Tigers teammate Cayden Lindstrom (card also in Team Set) were also selected to represent Team Canada at the World U18’s in Finland in April, 2024 (Lindstrom will not participate due to injury).

McKenna was named Player Of The Game and scored 2 goals to open the World 18’s for Canada with a 6-3 victory over Sweden on 04/25/2024. McKenna had 6 points (yes, 6) in the game against Kazakhstan on 4/30/24 (2 G; 4 A). McKenna picked up an Assist against Latvia on 05/02/2024, compiling 15 points (6 G; 9 A) in five games at the U18’s, tying a Canadian U18 record.
