This antique19th C mirror is a unique piece that will add character to any room. The wooden backing and old brass ring hook are original features from the 19th century as is the wonderful veneer surface. The mirror's Americana style and Northeastern US origin make it a rare find. It will be a perfect piece for your Antique Decorated Country Home.  It is made of a Hardwood (most likely Walnut) Veneered Two Tone surface for front surface area of the frame.  The sides are most likely made of pine or some other wood - we are not experts on wood. The veneer was saved for the portions that display on the wall as walnut was more expensive and so used only on the part that was shown for frames. The frame itself measures approx 10.75" X 8.75" and the sight portion or inner area of the frame measures approx 8" X 6".  The height of the frame is approx .75".
