This point is 2 1/2 inches long and was found in Montgomery County, Tennessee. I am not sure exactly if the point is Flint or Dover Chert but I believe it is one of those two. There is no ownership history but it is a genuine Native American point made by Indians a few hundred years ago. See last 5 pictures showing where it was purchased which was from Marburg Auctions who specializes in selling genuine Indian artifacts. That paper will be included with this auction. Each side of the necklace is 13 1/2 inches long and will fit over an adult head. You could shorten this for a kid by cutting off some at the knots and then redo the knots. The knots are not glued. The point is wrapped a certain way to make sure the point does not fall out. The necklace was made recently from 3 millimeter diameter round genuine leather. The knots around the point are glued but the knots are not glued to the point just in case sometime you no longer want a necklace but still want the point.
